Duneaton Quarry is situated near junction 13 on the M74, we supply customers throughout Central and Southern Scotland with high quality stone products for a variety of applications.
We have an extensive range of aggregates, varying from 6mm stone through to Gabion stone and rock armour, we can apply our knowledge and expertise to provide solutions for those requiring small decorative applications through to major construction projects.
The quarry was established in 2009, the mineral type is a Greywacke of the Ordovician Formation, the characteristic of the mineral is grey in colour with rich quartz veins and can be high in iron. These characteristics create a durable stone with a sound hardness which weathers little over time, due to the rich quartz veins this generates a high polished stone value of 71%.
During our establishment we have been privileged to service a variety of different sectors from, private, civil engineering, house building, agriculture and we have recently seen an increase for single size products, servicing the asphalt road surfacing industry.
