Using a KINSHOFER ballast tamper mounted for example on a tiltrotator, the packing of ballast under sleepers is not only fast, but also efficient and economical. The ballast tampers are available as single or double ballast tampers.
The robust single ballast tamper RST03 is equipped with a vibrating unit and a rotation with two motors. It features a low weight, low noise operation and adjustable arms, force and tamping depth. Strong vibration rubbers lower the vibration shocks against the machine.
Double Ballast Tamper DT03/22 with fold-away tamping units and integrated rotation
This newly designed version of the former DT03 is equipped with a foldable adapter, that connects the two single RST03 units. The tool can thus be used as double ballast tamper or as single tamper as the units can be folded away (55°). Additionally, the attachments is equipped with a robust, integrated rotation.
The DT03/22 is ideal for road-rail excavators with 14t to 22t / 30800 to 48400 lbs operating weight.
